This is my little spot for all things pretty. :)
I love seeing the pictures everyone posts of their lovely mountain views and I daydream constantly about what a not-so-fast-pace lifestyle would be like. Looking out the window to lovely country side, or seeing mountains, or the water sounds so dreamy sometimes. Especially over tall slabs of concrete or reflective glass.
Dallas is huge and totally overwhelming most of the time. & I’ve lived in tons of places (in Texas, in the United States, and out of the country as well) but recently I’ve become completely enamored with this place.
It took me a while to warm up to this place but Dallas is one of the most beautiful places I have ever been to. The people are so sophisticated and beautiful and still friendly and down to earth. I’ve also lived in DOZENS of different places and DFW will always stand out to me. Beautifully unique.
I never intended for this to be a tell all, dirty laundry type of blog, I just wanted to look at pretty pictures all day and dmire cute shtuff. I found out about tumblr, from one of best friends nicole from @nicoledays. She used to have it linked to her facebook and we were all able to read about her little family and Zoe. Let me tell you, this girl is hilarious so her blog became a daily reading for me. We met through our husbands, and I was pregnant when Nicole found out she was and reached out to me because she didn’t know any other pregnant woman. Our girls are a little over two months apart. Here’s a pretty funky picture of them that always makes me laugh.
You don’t have to say it, we know they are cute. Hahahahahhahahaha. So we have these two little multiracial babies. I think it’s importnant to know that they are multiracial because I think that says a lot about my welcoming personality as well as Nic’s. If you have ever seen Nicole, she is one of the most beautiful women you will ever see. Let me take a minute to describe this girl to you. She’s a head turner. A red headed mix of Asian and whiteness with god knows what else. I guess I’m not very good at describing what she looks like, she’s a rare bird lol. So look at this picture instead.
That woman was about 7 months pregnant there. I had to cut my own face out because 9 months of pregnancy did not look good on me and I wanted to show off my photoshop skills lol. So ok, she’s a beaut, we all know it. But what this post is really about is about her generousity. She has a heart of gold.
Recently I’ve been going through a rough time. I have the mother in law from hell and my marriage is started to see strain because of it. Nicole made a blog post about she felt so sad for me and overwhelmed because of what I was going through. She later deleted it because she thought it wasn’t appropriate to share what I was going through on her blog. She never even mentioned my name and truthfully I don’t care what she would have said because her intentions are always pretty pure and she wouldn’t hurt a fly. Being Nic, she took it down anyway. Minutes later, she got an anonymous message from someone accusing her of being terrible person and a questioning how she had any friends at all and stating that they felt downright sorry for her lifestyle. She called me up and shared it with me, and we laughed because my gosh, you really have to be some sort of illiterate to have misunderstood what she had said. Nicole knows web scripting like the back of her hand so she was able to lift the anonymous IP address and find out who it was which was even more hilarious.
Even though we were able to laugh about it, I think it’s necessary for me to point out that those words can be pretty hurtful. This girl doesn’t know Nicole at all. Here a a few facts though, she’s beautiful, inside and out. She’s got a beautiful home, has beautiful cars, successful, smart, and married one hell of a guy. The message she got was accusing her of some ridiculous things so saying that previous sentence is necessary. She has possibly the sweetest and cutest little girl and herself has a heart of gold. She’s generous too, last night we went to dinner and she presented my daughter with gifts. Wasn’t her birthday, that’s just how she thoughtful she is. It was a little hot pink printed tank and matching shoes. It was adorable and when I got home I cried thinking of how lucky we are to know the Saldana’s. They always asks if we need anything and even if we don’t they’ll surprise us with something anyway. More than the things they have boughten or done for us, Nicole is my go to girl for advice and whenever I need a shoulder to cry on, she’s there. I’m just as comfortable with Thom too. I love them dearly and if you knew Nic too, you would never say such mean and hurtful things to her. You’re a fool and in all honesty, it’s just a jealousy thing. She has the loveliest life, the loveliest things, because she is a lovely person and deserves every single thing she has.
